Location: Stuart, Florida or Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Position Overview

As a growing, family-oriented general contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure, you'll work side by side with seasoned Project Managers, Superintendents, and company leadership from day one. Rather than being one of hundreds of employees at a large corporation, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, ask questions, and gain exposure to every phase of a construction project.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a long-term career in construction management while receiving hands-on mentorship in both the field and office.

Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Support

Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to support daily project operations.
Coordinate communication between field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and office staff.
Assist in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and moving efficiently.

Documentation & Reporting

Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project logs.
Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly project reporting.

Scheduling & Planning

Support project schedules and short-term look-ahead planning.
Coordinate upcoming work with field teams and subcontractors.
Identify potential schedule conflicts or delays and communicate them proactively.

Procurement & Coordination

Assist with material procurement and delivery coordination.
Track subcontractor progress and support scope coordination.
Communicate material, scheduling, or logistical concerns to the project team.

Quality & Compliance

Support quality control efforts to ensure work meets project specifications.
Assist with inspections and project documentation.
Help maintain compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Financial Support

Assist with tracking project costs and budgets.
Support invoice processing and pay application reviews.
Monitor labor, equipment, and material usage throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field (or graduating soon).

Experience

Internship or up to two years of construction experience preferred, but not required.

Skills & Abilities

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
Ability to read construction drawings or a strong willingness to develop this skill.

Technical Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is a plus, but not required.
