ZenaTech (Nasdaq: ZENA | FSE: 49Q) is a technology company specializing in AI drones, Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS), enterprise SaaS, and quantum computing solutions for mission-critical business applications. Since 2017, the company has leveraged its software development expertise and expanded its drone design and manufacturing capabilities through ZenaDrone to innovate and enhance customer inspection, monitoring, safety, security, compliance, and surveying processes.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Manager to lead the financial and business operations of our growing land surveying company in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role is focused on the financial health, profitability, and strategic direction of the business. The Business Manager works closely with company leadership to manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and identify opportunities for growth, and partners with the Office Manager and Director of Surveying on cross-functional initiatives without assuming their day-to-day administrative or technical survey responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability across projects and business lines, and provide leadership with clear, accurate financial analysis to support decision-making.

Business Strategy & Planning

Partner with company leadership to develop and execute business strategy, identify operational efficiencies, and support long-term planning for company growth. Evaluate business performance trends and recommend improvements to strengthen profitability.

Business Development & Client Relationships

Support business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, maintaining relationships with key clients, and assisting with proposal and contract review from a financial and business standpoint.

Operational Oversight

Provide oversight of company-wide operational performance and financial controls, working alongside the Office Manager, who leads day-to-day administrative operations, and the Director of Surveying, who leads technical survey operations, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Vendor & Contract Administration

Review vendor agreements, service contracts, and major purchasing decisions for financial soundness. Support cost-control initiatives and monitor company spending against budget.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the company
Analyze profitability and financial performance across projects and business lines
Develop and support execution of business strategy and growth initiatives
Identify operational efficiencies and process improvement opportunities
Support business development efforts and key client relationships
Review contracts, proposals, and vendor agreements for financial impact
Partner with the Office Manager and Director of Surveying on cross-functional business needs
Monitor company spending, cost controls, and budget compliance
Present financial and business performance updates to company leadership

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of business management, financial management, or related experience
Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and profit-and-loss (P&L) analysis
Proven ability to develop and support business strategy and operational improvements
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, office administration, and technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience in land surveying, engineering, architecture, or construction industries
Experience supporting business development or client relationship management
Familiarity with project-based financial reporting
