Full Job Description

Objective:

To develop and execute an overall marketing plan per client that drives market awareness, brands the store in a way that separates it from the competition and delivers showroom, website and phone traffic for both sales and service in the most efficient and strategic way possible.

Position Requirements:

This position requires a developed skill set in leading a team. The AE is held ultimately accountable for all projects from concept through completion no matter how big or small. Success largely depends on effective time management and getting the most out of each member of the team. Clear and concise communication with clients and agency staff, along with proper delegation of responsibilities within Account Executive team and agency departments, is key to success in this position.

Core Marketing Responsibilities:

- Develop lasting client relationships by demonstrating an attentive, strategic and reliable willingness to proactively assist the dealer with all marketing needs.

- Meet with Managing Partners/General Managers and Service Directors on a regular basis and come prepared to these meetings with standard assessment package. These meetings should give you a clear understanding of your client’s needs and expectations so you can develop your strategy.

- Develop and maintain an overall marketing strategy, (traditional, digital, grassroots, social, etc) taking into account bullet points above along with quarterly and yearly goals.

- Execute the marketing strategy with the use of agency assets and vendor partners. This includes creative development and overseeing the execution of the campaign across agency departments communicating in-person and through Job-Q, Jarvis, Trello, Airtable, Slack and e-mail.

- Set expectations and outline goals for marketing plans. Measure ROI on a consistent basis. Every channel/medium used in a plan can be measured and the AE is expected to receive and understand reporting from each channel.

- Maintain an accurate budget by clear communication with Dealer Principal and receiving ad pivots from dealership controller. Understand what each line item on that budget represents.

- Ensure you are performing frequent website audits of your own clients.

- Maintain knowledge of market and competitor data through monthly and quarterly franchise reporting. Know what the factory expectations are of your dealer and where your dealer currently stands.

- Have an understanding of dealership historical data as far as sales, traffic and lead counts from our dashboard and website traffic reports from GA. This information is readily accessible and will be used in creating present day strategy.

- Know what your client competitors are doing – especially on their website - by completing an analysis on a quarterly basis, paying particular attention to online reputation of your store compared to the market.

- Full knowledge of co-op requirements for your assigned OEM’s. Track, submit documentation and communicate monthly co-op balance to your clients to ensure maximum usage.

- Ensure all state and manufacturer compliance rules are abided by.

- Manage vendor transitions across multiple channels, i.e. website providers, call tracking vendors, PPC vendors, etc.

- Event Management ranging from full planning to minimal support details. This will involve Risk and Legal depts for COI’s and work with 3rd parties including prize insurance vendors, catering companies, valet, etc.

- Ensure all vendors in use have a legal agreement and current COI approved through AMSI. You are the liaison between the vendor, client and legal and risk depts throughout the review process.

- Through constant communication with Dealer Principal, maintain a solid understanding of current dealership inventory, sales process and staffing issues. This will be taken into consideration when developing present day strategy.

- Field requests to research new and existing vendors that have pitched your clients. This process can be time consuming and developing a process in how to manage these requests is extremely important.

- Stay current on industry trends and what vendors are in the space and what they do. Have a full understanding of agency product offerings and how they compare to or fit in with 3rd party vendor offerings.

Core Operational (Dealership) Responsibilities:

- Know how and where to delegate website issues, i.e. troubleshooting inventory feed breakdowns, dynamic number insertion problems, etc.

- Maintain awareness of inventory management system used by each of your clients and the feed process for each. This will give you the ability to resolve requests to adjust pricing on websites, find out why vehicles aren’t showing up on client sites or 3rd party sites, etc.

- Understand service scheduler capabilities and how to correct or delegate issues including but not limited to incorrect pricing of services, the scheduler not working correctly, new techs availability not showing, etc.

- Have knowledge of call tracking and call routing processes and procedures.

- Be aware of individual client operational process as it relates to lead routing, BDC, staffing, etc.

- Maintain knowledge of AMSI depts and contacts within each – operations, fixed ops, legal, risk management, IT (corporate and regional), TWS and accounting (corporate and regional).

- Maintain understanding of operations team capabilities. Each member has vastly different skill sets and career experience.

- Ability to communicate with operations team and C-Suite executives as needed
