About Newberry Technologies
Newberry Technologies is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) providing professional IT support, infrastructure management, and technology solutions to businesses.
Our team works directly with clients to keep their technology reliable, secure, and productive. Because we support a variety of businesses and technology environments, our technicians gain hands-on experience with a broad range of systems, networks, applications, and real-world IT challenges.
We value great customer service, technical curiosity, problem-solving, teamwork, accountability, and a willingness to continually learn and improve.
About the Position
Newberry Technologies is looking for an IT Systems & Support Analyst to join our team in Kihei, Maui.
This is a hands-on IT position for someone who enjoys technology, troubleshooting, working with customers, and solving problems.
You’ll provide day-to-day technical support for our clients both on-site and remotely. You’ll troubleshoot computers, software, networks, printers, mobile devices, and other business technology while also assisting with system maintenance, deployments, upgrades, and IT projects.
As an MSP, we work with many different clients and technology environments. That means every day can bring something different—and there is always something new to learn.
We’re not looking for someone who already knows everything. We’re looking for someone with solid technical fundamentals, good troubleshooting instincts, a professional attitude, and a genuine desire to continue developing their IT skills.
What You’ll Do
· Provide professional technical support to end users both on-site and remotely
· Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and common business applications
· Diagnose basic network and connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity
· Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain computers, workstations, monitors, peripherals, and related technology
· Assist with user account setup, system access, software installations, and workstation deployments
· Perform routine system checks, updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting
· Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within our ticketing system
· Escalate more complex technical issues to senior technicians when appropriate
· Assist with system upgrades, deployments, network installations, and client IT projects
· Follow established security procedures, documentation standards, and IT best practices
· Travel to client locations to provide on-site technical assistance
· Work closely with other technicians and client stakeholders to provide responsive, reliable service
· Communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical users
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who enjoys figuring things out.
You don’t necessarily need years of experience or an advanced degree. The ability to approach a problem logically, research an issue, ask good questions, learn from other technicians, and follow through until a problem is resolved is extremely important to us.
Ideal candidates will have:
· Previous experience with IT support, computer troubleshooting, or a related technical role
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktops and common business applications
· Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and LAN connectivity
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· A professional, dependable, and customer-focused attitude
· Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple support requests
· Ability to work independently while also knowing when to ask for assistance or escalate an issue
· Attention to detail and the ability to accurately document technical work
· A desire to continually learn new technologies and expand technical skills
Helpful, But Not Required
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
· Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments
· IT helpdesk and ticketing systems
· Remote monitoring and support tools
· Microsoft 365
· Windows networking
· Active Directory
· Business networks, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
· Cybersecurity tools and IT security best practices
· Computer and network hardware installation
· CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar technical certifications
An associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is helpful, but practical experience, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn are equally important to us.
The Person Who Will Do Well Here
This position is a good fit for someone who likes variety and genuinely enjoys technology and problem-solving.
One minute you may be troubleshooting an employee’s workstation, the next you’re diagnosing a network problem, configuring a new computer, assisting with an equipment installation, or working alongside another technician on a larger client project.
Our ideal team member can work through problems methodically, communicate well with customers, take ownership of their work, know when to ask for help, and continually develop their technical abilities.
Because this is a customer-facing position, technical ability is only part of the job. Being dependable, professional, patient, and comfortable communicating with clients is equally important.
