About Us:
For over 40 years, since 1983, Professional Tutors of America, Inc. has provided educational services to thousands of students throughout California and nationwide. Our company started as a tutoring company, and over the years, we have evolved to become a comprehensive, full-service Educational Consultant for over 300 School Districts.

We offer a variety of services, including Academic Instruction, Occupational Therapy, Language and Speech, Counseling, and Mental Health Services. Services provided are a combination of Compensatory Services, Home/Hospital Instruction, as well as in some cases, Primary Instruction and/or Therapy.

Do you fit our team and match our vision?
Our Special Education team is looking for Occupational Therapists (OTs) who can provide in-home therapy to students in San Bernardino, Riverside, Rialto, Bloomington, and Moreno Valley, CA.

Our OTs can earn $80.00-$95.00 per hour, depending on education, licenses, and professional occupational therapy experience. OTs and providers in California are part-time employees and are reimbursed for mileage and travel time while on the clock (tutoring session to tutoring session). Administrative time is also provided.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a valid California Occupational Therapist license
Must pass and clear a CA Live Scan (background check)
Provide a Tuberculosis clearance (under 4 years old) upon hire
Ability to provide treatment in person at the student's home
Motivation and passion to provide occupational therapy treatments, similar to home-health therapy services, based on the student's IEP
Communicate ongoing student progress with parents and the case manager
Collaborate with families on students' needs

The logistics:
Our model is entirely 1-to-1, and our services are provided either at the student's home or the nearest public library if the house is not a suitable location. Our teachers and providers can create schedules with the parents based on their availability. Most of our services are provided outside school hours, either in the afternoons, evenings, or weekends if desired. Some assignments are available during the school day for those looking for daytime work. OTS can work with as few (1) or as many (10+) students on their caseload.
