CNC Vertical Mill Machinist

Location: Edison, MI
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $22.00–$30.00/hour + Shift Differential
Schedule: Second Shift | Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM

What You'll Do

As a CNC Vertical Mill Machinist, you'll be responsible for producing precision-machined components while maintaining the highest standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot 3-axis and 4-axis CNC vertical milling machines.
Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and offset corrections as needed.
Inspect first-piece and in-process parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow quality standards, production procedures, and safety protocols.
Work closely with teammates to meet production schedules and customer expectations.

What We're Looking For

Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience.
Experience operating CNC vertical milling machines.
Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
Familiarity with high-speed machining and machining best practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.
Dependable with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand and work throughout a full production shift.

Preferred Experience

Experience in aerospace, medical device, or other precision manufacturing environments.
Experience with multi-axis CNC machining.
Technical machining education or trade school certification.
