Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules for molding, automated assembly, and manual assembly operations.
Analyze customer releases, EDI demand, forecast changes, and production requirements to develop executable production plans that support customer delivery expectations.
Lead capacity planning activities by evaluating labor, equipment, tooling, and material availability to ensure production schedules are achievable.
Identify production constraints, material shortages, and scheduling conflicts; develop and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions and maintain delivery performance.
Serve as the primary scheduling liaison between Operations, Customer Service, Materials Planning, and Purchasing to ensure alignment on priorities and production requirements.
Monitor schedule attainment, production performance, and customer delivery metrics, adjusting schedules as necessary to support operational and customer requirements.
Coordinate production schedules with preventive maintenance activities, engineering changes, new product launches, and tooling requirements.
Support inventory management initiatives by balancing production requirements with raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory targets.
Maintain and optimize ERP/MRP planning parameters, planning rules, lead times, and scheduling data to improve planning accuracy and system effectiveness.
Analyze production and inventory data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks to customer deliveries.
Participate in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes by providing capacity analysis, production planning recommendations, and scheduling expertise.
Assist in developing standard work, scheduling procedures, and best practices to improve planning consistency and operational performance.
Mentor and provide guidance to production schedulers, planners, or other team members as assigned.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on schedule attainment, inventory optimization, lead-time reduction, and operational efficiency.
