Job Summary:
As a Quality Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall quality of manufactured parts and the installation of parts and other components on all custom trucks. This is a new position and reports to the Shop Superintendent. A mindset of continuous improvement and outside the box thinking is important, as we constantly try to better ourselves in every aspect of what we do. Best of all, we are a fully employee-owned company where we work together as a team to build a successful and profitable business.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, advise corrections, and track quality control measures for the installation of custom hydraulic equipment systems (Rexith, Muncie, certified power) Pneumatics, Electronics, and other purchased components on chassis.
- Inspect, advise corrections, and track quality control measures of manufactured products such as dump bodies and the painting of dump bodies and chassis.
- Documentation and reporting of quality findings to leadership and advise solutions to noted problems.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure Standard Operating Procedures are current and clear.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required; we are a Team, and we support each other.
Qualifications
- A proven ability to be a respected, trusted, and reliable professional
- Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate up, down, and sideways
- Training and expertise in welding, wiring, hydraulics, and electrical components on large trucks or in automotive manufacturing.
- Ability to read blue prints/CAD drawings
- 8+ years of experience, preferably in the manufacturing or truck equipment industries
- HS diploma or GED is required
- Preferred consideration for candidates with skilled trades certification
