Job Summary
The IMT Apprentice position at Rosler Metal Finishing offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in manufacturing and mechanical operations. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside seasoned professionals in a dynamic environment. This paid apprenticeship is designed to build your technical expertise, enhance your understanding of manufacturing processes, and prepare you for a successful career in industrial maintenance and fabrication. You will be actively involved in learning key skills such as blueprint reading, machining, welding, and equipment operation, all while contributing to the production of high-quality components and assemblies.
Hours are Monday thru Thursday and pay starts at $18.00. Interested applicants only.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assembly Departments
Assemble components and finished products according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
Preform visual inspections and quality checks.
Maintain production records and documentation.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Ceramics Department
Assist in ceramic material preparation, molding, firing, and finishing processes.
Monitor equipment and kiln operations and other equipment such as Dryers, Presses, Eirich and Pug Mills.
Conduct inspections for defects and dimensional accuracy.
Follow strict handling and safety procedures.
Fabrication Department
Learn fabrication techniques including cutting, grinding, forming, and welding support activities.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Operate basic fabrication equipment and under supervision.
Assist with material preparation and finishing operations.
Compound Department
Receive, store, and distribute materials throughout the facility.
Operate material handling equipment and cycle counts.
Prepare materials for shipment and production use.
Machinist Department
Learn setup and operation of machine equipment such as Lathes, Mills, and Drill Presses.
Preform basic machine adjustment under supervision.
Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments.
Maintain tooling and work are organization.
Reline Department
Operates the polyurethane dispensing machines. Inspects the unit for damage following the sandblasting process.
Prepares the unit for lining by setting the mold.
Inspects and documents the condition of all incoming units.
Plastic Department
Support plastic molding, forming and finishing operations.
Monitor production equipment and process parameters.
Inspect finished products for quality compliance.
Assist material handling and machine changeovers.
Process Laboratory Department
Conduct routine testing and inspections of products and materials.
Record and analyze test data.
Assist with quality control investigations.
Follow lab safety procedures and documentation requirements.
Experiences 1 - 3 years' experience - Minimum of 1-3 years' of previous experience working in related field
Skills Communicate Effectively - Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
Determine Compliance Standards (Quality) - Using information and individual judgment to decide whether events or processes obey laws, regulations, or standards.
Attention to Detail - Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of assigned work
