Live-in Household Manager (Cooking & Home Organization)
We're probably not your typical family, and we're not looking for a typical household manager.
We moved to Old Town Park City because we wanted to grow a family around adventure. Depending on the season you might find us skiing before school, riding mountain bikes, hiking, building something in the garage, experimenting with a science project, wandering through the library, or grabbing dinner on Main Street.
We work hard, but family is the center of everything we do. We're intentionally raising curious, capable, kind kids who love learning, aren't afraid to get dirty, and are encouraged to figure things out for themselves. We value experiences over stuff, time outside over screens, and we'd rather spend a Saturday exploring the mountains than sitting inside.
We're looking for someone who gets excited by that kind of life.
This is much more than a housekeeping position. Our goal is simple: we'd rather spend our time making memories with our kids than worrying about laundry, groceries, or what's for dinner. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating a calm, organized home where everything simply works and who takes pride in helping a busy family thrive.
You'll probably love this job if...
- You naturally organize spaces because it makes life easier.
- You enjoy cooking meals that bring people together.
- You love an active lifestyle and genuinely enjoy getting outside.
- A little rain, snow, mud, or dirt doesn't ruin your day.
- You enjoy helping children become curious, capable, and independent.
- You appreciate families that laugh a lot, communicate openly, and don't take themselves too seriously.
- You notice what needs to be done without waiting to be asked.
- You enjoy creating calm, organized spaces where everything has its place.
- You like making things better than you found them.
- You'd rather solve problems than point them out.
- You think kids should spend more time outside than in front of screens.
- You're excited by the idea of living in one of the best mountain towns in the country.
Our two homeschooled children (entering 1st and 2nd grade) already have dedicated math and language arts tutors, so this role isn't about teaching. It's about helping keep our home and family running smoothly while providing occasional childcare support when one parent is traveling or away for the day. With that said if you have a background in education that is a plus!
Your responsibilities include
- Planning and preparing healthy family meals
- Grocery shopping and keeping the pantry stocked
- Maintaining an organized kitchen and household
- Laundry
- Keeping common areas clean and welcoming
- Household organization
- Running errands
- Anticipating the family's needs before small things become bigger problems
- Occasional transportation for the children
- Calm, reliable childcare support when parents are unavailable
We're looking for someone who is warm, proactive, dependable, and genuinely enjoys taking ownership. You're the kind of person who notices the pantry is getting low, tomorrow is going to be busy, or the kids' gear needs to be ready.. and you quietly take care of it before anyone has to ask.
Experience as a household manager, nanny, housekeeper, executive assistant, education, or in hospitality is certainly valuable, but personality and attitude matter just as much. We'd much rather find someone whose values and lifestyle fit ours than someone with a perfect resume.
A clean driving record, excellent references, and willingness to complete a background check are required.
Living arrangements
For the right candidate, we're open to either a live-in or live-out arrangement. If live-in is the best fit, we offer a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, utilities included, weekends off, and the opportunity to live in the heart of Old Town Park City—just a short walk from Main Street and skiing. Relocation is welcome, and a season ski pass is available for the right long-term fit.
We'd love to hear from you
If you're looking for more than just a job and would enjoy becoming a trusted, valued part of an active, adventurous family, we'd love to hear from you.
When you apply, don't just send us a resume. Tell us a little about yourself. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? What kind of family do you thrive with? Tell us about your cooking experience, your approach to keeping a home organized, and what made this opportunity stand out to you.
