Luxury Boutique Real Estate Brokerage

Full-Time | Reports to CFO | Multi-State Operations

We are a growing luxury boutique real estate brokerage operating across multiple states with 35+ locations. We are seeking an experienced Controller to report directly to the CFO and lead day-to-day accounting operations across our organization.

This is a senior-level, hands-on leadership role ideal for a finance professional with real estate brokerage or relatable experience who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations across multiple entities and states
Manage commission accounting, agent payouts, referral fees, and incentive plans
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Prepare consolidated financial statements
Maintain multi-state compliance, including brokerage and tax requirements
Oversee trust/escrow accounting compliance (as applicable)
Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
Lead and develop the accounting team
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in partnership with the CFO
Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external accountants and tax advisors

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Real estate brokerage accounting experience preferred
Multi-entity and multi-state accounting experience required
Experience with commission structures and 1099 independent contractor environments
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial consolidations

Preferred Experience

Experience in high-growth or multi-location organizations
Process improvement and systems implementation experience
Experience supporting executive leadership teams
