Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This role offers an energetic and rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and delivering personalized care that enhances quality of life. This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute their caregiving skills in a dynamic environment while enjoying flexible hours and meaningful work.

Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medications, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals
Support patients with mobility using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks in accordance with health standards
Document care plans, patient observations, and communication notes accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients, fostering a warm and respectful atmosphere

Experience

Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices
Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disabilities is advantageous
Familiarity with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and patient personal care assistance techniques
Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in HIPAA compliance or specialized caregiving are a plus
Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with ADLs while maintaining patient dignity and comfort
