Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accountant/Bookkeeper and play a vital role in managing our financial records with precision and integrity. Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry of transactions into accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare journal entries, accounts payable and receivable management, and process payroll using systems like Quick Books.
Conduct monthly account analysis, account reconciliation, and financial data analysis utilizing Excel data analysis tools.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Support month-end closing procedures, including ledger review, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to financial records.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with familiarity in accounting systems such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, Kronos, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts including SOX compliance, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—and ability to perform detailed data analysis.
Knowledge of public accounting practices and experience working with financial software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools.
Excellent numeracy skills coupled with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and account reconciliation.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills for customer service interactions and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
