Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. We're a fine dining Greek & Mediterranean restaurant located in Mission Farms, Leawood. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen and deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. If you have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and a creative mindset, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of dishes
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring high-quality standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and visually appealing presentations
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist in coordinating banquet events and catering functions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills:
- Extensive experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or catering setting
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and flavor profiles
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in team management and delegation of tasks
- Familiarity with dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special requests
