Embedded within the Finance arena and closely aligned with compliance, governance, and regulatory affairs, the Hospital Risk Management Director will anchor enterprise risk, safety reporting, claims, and loss prevention initiatives while helping the organization navigate accreditation standards and evolving payment models; positioned in a dynamic big city with the scale and resources of a large hospital, the Hospital Risk Management Director will leverage modern analytics, real-time dashboards, and cross-functional partnerships to reduce variability, strengthen clinical protocols, and elevate accountability across service lines through a continuous-improvement lens.

Reporting to senior leadership in Finance with a collaborative, dotted-line relationship to the Chief Compliance and Chief Quality Officers, the Hospital Risk Management Director will shape strategy while receiving strong support from experienced quality analysts, legal and insurance partners, education teams, and informatics specialists; on a daily basis the Hospital Risk Management Director will lead event review and root cause analyses, manage claims and risk financing, refine policies, guide preparation for regulatory surveys, mentor leaders on Just Culture, and champion high reliability, all while teaming with friendly nurses, skilled physicians, and a diverse, interprofessional care team dedicated to safe, equitable, and compassionate care.
