Full Job Description

Crew Manager, Landscape and Hardscape (Outdoor Living)

Compensation

$79,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience. Pay is a hybrid payment structure:

Base hourly rate
Variable pay tied to a scorecard performance program, up to 15% additional beyond the hourly rate

You’re not looking for a “babysit the crew” job. You’re looking for a crew manager seat where you can run work, develop people, and be rewarded for performance.

The challenge you’ll solve

Luxury outdoor environments only stay “luxury” when the foundations are right, the drainage intent is protected, the grades are clean, and the finished details hold up. Your job is to lead the landscape and hardscape work so it gets built right the first time, on schedule, safely, and with workmanship you’re proud to stand behind.

What you’ll do

Lead daily jobsite execution, crew performance, safety, cleanliness, and jobsite organization
Plan and run daily and weekly production with clear goals and checkpoints
Execute and oversee landscape and hardscape scopes, including:
Layout, elevations, grade, and drainage intent
Base prep, compaction, cutting, setting, and finishing for patios/walks
Retaining walls, steps, edging, and site details
Soil prep, planting, bed lines, mulch, sod, and finish grading
Landscape lighting installation (layout/placement support, conduit/wire routing, fixture setting, and jobsite coordination with electrical trade as applicable)
Equipment operation when trained/authorized (skid steer, mini-ex, compactors, saws, etc.)
Own on-site quality control and punch prevention, build it right the first time
Manage labor, materials, and waste to protect schedule and margin
Support the broader Construction Division as needed (site prep, equipment operation when authorized, logistics, and other outdoor living scopes)

What we’re looking for

5+ years in landscape/hardscape installation (leadership experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of installation methodologies and materials (base prep, compaction, drainage intent, planting fundamentals)
Strong plan reading, layout, and field problem-solving
Proven ability to lead people, set pace, and hold standards
Safety-first mindset, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation
