Full Job Description

Overview
Join our growing team as a Mortgage Loan Processor, where your expertise will be vital in transforming loan applications into successful homeownership journeys. In this energetic role, you will coordinate the entire loan processing cycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive communication will help streamline operations, support loan officers, and uphold the integrity of our mortgage programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the mortgage process, making a tangible difference in people's lives.

Duties

Review and verify all loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations.
Prepare and submit loan files for approval, ensuring all necessary disclosures such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) are properly included.
Communicate effectively with loan officers, underwriters, builders, title companies and borrowers to gather missing information or clarify details throughout the processing cycle.
Ensure adherence to loan origination procedures, contracts, and banking regulations while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Utilize basic math skills and 10-key typing proficiency to accurately calculate figures related to loan amounts, interest rates, and payment schedules.

Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, banking, or a related financial services field.
Experience processing residential mortgage loans, including purchase, refinance, and construction loan transactions preferred.
Knowledge of mortgage lending documentation, loan processing procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with income calculation, credit documentation, title work, appraisals, insurance requirements, and closing processes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and collaborate effectively with lenders, underwriters, closing personnel, title companies, and borrowers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
