Full Job Description

Employment type: Part-time / Contract, with full-time potential
Location: Kansas City and surrounding areas within approximately 75 miles

We need a videographer in your area—now

We’re the marketing arm behind Next Dental Lab, and we produce video content for dental practices. We currently have at least one video shoot in Kansas City that needs a videographer, and we’re looking for the right local person to capture it.

This is real, immediate work—not a someday gig. If you’re based in or near Kansas City and shoot great video, we want to talk this week.

The bigger picture

Beyond these first shoots, we’re building a content service that helps dentists win patients with great video, including practice tours, founder and team stories, patient testimonials, and social-first short-form content.

We’re expanding into markets across the country, and we want a reliable videographer we can continue working with throughout this region. This starts with the shoots we have now and can grow from there.

Our in-house editing team handles post-production.

Your focus stays on what you do best: showing up, capturing beautiful and usable footage, and handing it off to our editors. We handle the rest.

What you’ll do

Shoot on location at dental practices in the Kansas City area, typically for 1.5–3 hours per shoot.

Capture clean, well-lit, and well-framed interviews, B-roll, walkthroughs, and short-form footage.

Direct subjects who are not professional talent and help nervous dentists feel comfortable on camera.

Upload and hand off organized raw footage to our editing team promptly.

Communicate clearly regarding scheduling and logistics.

What you bring

You’re based within approximately 75 miles of Kansas City.

You own a professional camera kit and can shoot professional-quality video with strong audio and lighting fundamentals.

You have a reel or portfolio demonstrating your work.

You’re reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently on location.

You have strong communication skills and a self-managed work style.

Bonus: Experience with interviews, testimonials, business or commercial content, or social-first video.

Interview process

The first interview is a quick Zoom or Google Meet conversation. We move quickly because we have shoots ready to go.
