Full-time position available with the Health Department, Community & Family Health Education Division
Pay Range: $28.96–$44.16 per hour
Work Location: 2400 Troost Ave
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or an alternative schedule of 4–10-hour shifts may be permitted

Responsibilities

What you’ll do
Provide comprehensive nursing services through home visits to women enrolled in the Nurse-Family Partnership program to support healthy pregnancies and child development.
Maintain a caseload of 21-25 clients and conduct visits every 1–2 weeks to ensure consistent support and progress.
Deliver education and guidance focusing on maternal health, environmental health, life course development, and quality caregiving to improve long-term outcomes.
Travel throughout assigned counties to meet families where they live and provide services in their home environments.
Follow national and state standards for the Nurse-Family Partnership program to ensure consistent, evidence-based care.

REQUIRES
Licensure as a registered nurse as determined by the Missouri State Board of Nursing or a state having reciprocity with the state of Missouri.
Possession of a current license or temporary permit (for transfer from other states).
Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.

Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
