Full Job Description

Membership Manager

The Kansas City Club opened its doors in 1922 inside one of downtown Kansas City’s most distinguished buildings — and after years of anticipation, it’s coming back. Re-imagined for a new era, KCC is a private city club with deep roots and a clear point of view about what a membership experience should feel like. The Membership Manager is the engine behind membership growth — the person who builds the pipeline, converts prospects, ensures every new member feels welcomed into something worth belonging to, and drives the marketing and communications that make KCC impossible to ignore.

What You’ll Do

Membership Sales & Pipeline

Own the full membership pipeline — prospecting, lead conversion, tours, and prospect communications from first contact through signed membership
Represent KCC from the first interaction; every prospect touchpoint reflects the standard of the club itself
Manage formal member onboarding — orientation, early relationship establishment, and member profile intake in Northstar CRM
Maintain consistent follow-up documentation on all prospect and member interactions

Marketing & Social Media

Own KCC’s marketing presence end to end — strategy and execution across all active channels
Manage and grow KCC’s social media accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn — content planning, creation, scheduling, and engagement
Develop and execute email and newsletter communications that keep members informed, engaged, and proud of their membership
Build and maintain a content calendar that reflects the club’s programming, dining experiences, and member culture
Coordinate with the Executive Director and Director of Operations on programming events to ensure marketing amplifies the club’s most distinctive moments

Internal Communications

Own member-facing communications — event announcements, programming updates, and club news delivered with consistency and care
Partner with the Executive Director and Director of Operations to ensure internal communications reflect operational priorities and member experience standards
Manage the cadence and tone of all outbound club communications so that every message — whether to members or staff — represents KCC at its best

What We’re Looking For

3+ years in membership sales, business development, or relationship-driven sales — private club, hospitality, or similar environment preferred
Demonstrated marketing experience — social media management, content creation, and email communications; you know how to build an audience and keep it engaged
Proven ability to build a pipeline, manage prospects through a sales cycle, and close with confidence and warmth
Genuine relationship instincts — you follow up, you remember details, and you make people feel like a priority
Strong writer with a clear, distinctive voice; able to produce content that sounds like KCC, not a template
Organized and self-directed; you manage your own day and don’t need to be told what’s next
Comfortable with CRM systems; Northstar experience a plus
Monday through Friday is the primary schedule — flexibility for special events and member programming as needed
