Full Job Description

Position Title: Accountant

Position Reports to: Controller

Con-Tech Manufacturing is the leading Concrete Mixer Manufacturer in the United States. They are adding an accountant position to their growing accounting team. This person would be performing various tasks with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting. A successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

- Communicate with customers on payments, past due invoices, and other matters in a formal and polite manner

- Application of payments to customer's accounts and handle confidential payment information received from customers.

- Payroll processing weekly

- Complete new vendor credit application, fax or email to customer

- Completing W-9 and ST3 forms-sending to a new vendor

- File Vendor Certificates of Insurance/update spreadsheet/ and request updates

- Match POs, Packing slips to Invoices

- Process vendor invoices daily from Accounting ERP system and e-mail

- Communicate with the vendor and purchasing department on bills with issues

- Set up new customer and vendor profiles in the system with all required documentation

- Process Customer Invoices Daily

Reach out to customers and vendors to keep their accounts/ profiles updated

- Requesting Proof of Delivery from vendors for product not received

- Run customer credit cards for payment of invoices and apply to customer accounts

- Assist other members of the accounting team and other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in accounting or related field

- Understanding of Basic Accounting Principles

- 2+ years of relevant experience perferred

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Goole Doc

- Self-motivated and efficient, with strong time management skills: must be able to work efficiently and productively with limited daily direction

- Experience with QuickBooks

- Desire to be pro-active and multitask

- Able to handle confidential information

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

- Willing to work individually as well as in teams

- Must have the drive to learn about the Concrete Industry and the importance of said position.
