Join a Firm That's Building the Future of Estate Planning
At Bromlow Law, PLLC, we believe estate planning is about far more than legal documents. It's about protecting families, preserving legacies, and creating harmony for generations to come.
Our mission is to serve as a conduit for family harmony by helping families protect their relationships, honor their wishes, and preserve their legacy with compassion, integrity, and excellence. We are building a firm known for exceptional client service, technical excellence, and a culture where our team grows alongside the business.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Estate Planning Drafting Paralegal who takes pride in producing impeccable work and wants to become an integral part of building one of Texas's premier estate planning firms.
This position is a full-time position with an expanding estate planning law firm.
About the Role
This is not an entry-level position.
We're looking for someone who already understands estate planning, enjoys drafting sophisticated legal documents, and can work with a high degree of independence.
Our ideal candidate enjoys solving drafting challenges, pays close attention to every detail, and takes ownership of producing work that reflects the highest standards of quality.
You won't simply fill in templates. You'll think critically, customize documents based on attorney instructions, and anticipate issues before they become problems.
While every document will receive attorney review before signing, we're looking for someone whose work requires minimal revisions because excellence is already their standard.
Primary Responsibilities
- Draft comprehensive estate planning documents using Wealth Docx (WealthCounsel)
- Customize trusts, wills, powers of attorney, deeds, ancillary documents, and related estate planning materials based on attorney direction
- Prepare deeds and trust funding documents
- Take ownership of funding management for trusts
- Review drafted documents for accuracy, consistency, grammar, formatting, and legal completeness
- Organize client files and maintain document integrity
- Identify drafting inconsistencies and proactively resolve issues
- Assist with probate matters as needed
- Communicate professionally with clients when appropriate
- Support attorneys in delivering exceptional legal work and an outstanding client experience
Required Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least two years of experience drafting estate planning documents
- Significant experience preparing sophisticated estate planning documents with minimal supervision
- Experience using Wealth Docx (WealthCounsel) or the ability to demonstrate extensive experience with comparable estate planning drafting software
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to customize documents based on attorney direction rather than relying solely on templates
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Experience working in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- A professional, polished appearance and demeanor appropriate for meeting with clients
- A friendly, service-oriented attitude that reflects our firm's values
Preferred Qualifications
- Probate administration experience
- Experience preparing trust funding documentation and management of funding trusts
- Texas Notary Public (or willingness to become one)
- Experience working in Clio Manage
- Experience with DecisionVault
You'll Thrive Here If You...
- Love details that other people overlook.
- Find satisfaction in producing polished, error-free work.
- Enjoy solving complex drafting problems.
- Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions.
- Think critically and anticipate issues before they arise.
- Welcome constructive feedback because you're committed to continuous improvement.
- Enjoy working on a collaborative team that values excellence and integrity.
