Overview

MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY

We are in search of Shift Managers, Assistant Managers and General Managers for our current and new stores opening across the Houston area.

Embark on an exciting journey as a Manager in Training, where you'll develop the skills and knowledge necessary to lead dynamic food service operations and transition into a Gyro Hut management position. This paid training program is designed to prepare motivated individuals for management roles by providing comprehensive hands-on experience, leadership development, and operational insight. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing daily store functions, and fostering a positive team environment. If you thrive in fast-paced settings and are eager to grow your management expertise, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Duties

Assist with daily store operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stock replenishment to ensure product availability and freshness
Support team members through employee orientation, training, and development initiatives to promote a high-performance culture
Participate in interviewing and recruiting efforts to build a strong, motivated team aligned with company standards
Manage cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering duties efficiently and accurately
Oversee customer service interactions to ensure a positive guest experience and resolve any issues promptly
Help implement strategies and promotional campaigns to maximize sales
Contribute to budgeting, sales management, and retail math calculations to meet store targets and optimize profitability
Supervise shift responsibilities including scheduling, supervising staff, and ensuring store policies are followed
Maintain inventory control through stock rotation, ordering accuracy, and loss prevention measures
Support marketing efforts by engaging with community initiatives or promotional activities

Skills

Strong leadership abilities with previous supervisory or management experience in retail or food services
Excellent communication skills for effective team management and customer interactions
Proficiency in negotiation, purchasing, inventory management, and bookkeeping processes
Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
Skilled in store management practices
Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations
Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of employee orientation, training & development strategies, and recruitment processes
Familiarity with budgeting, payroll processing, and administrative tasks such as record keeping
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff across shifts while maintaining high standards of customer service
Strong problem-solving skills combined with phone etiquette and organizational acumen
