Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management processes to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services that support our manufacturing and production goals. Your expertise in ERP systems, demand planning, and lean manufacturing principles will drive efficiency, cost savings, and continuous improvement across our supply chain. Join us to play a vital role in optimizing our procurement strategies and strengthening our manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies aligned with production and demand forecasts to meet operational needs efficiently.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality, delivery timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
Utilize ERP systems such as Dynamics Microsoft to process purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate procurement activities seamlessly within the supply chain management framework.
Collaborate closely with production planning teams to align procurement schedules with manufacturing timelines, ensuring minimal disruptions.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to identify waste reduction opportunities within the procurement process while maintaining high standards of quality.
Oversee logistics coordination for inbound materials, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and optimizing transportation costs.
Monitor key performance indicators related to purchasing efficiency, supplier performance, and inventory turnover to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of supply chain management principles.
Proficiency in ERP systems such Dynamics Microsoft , or similar platforms is essential for managing procurement workflows effectively.
Knowledge of demand planning, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), production planning, and logistics operations.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities for building productive supplier relationships.
Ability to analyze data related to supply chain metrics and implement strategic improvements accordingly.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
