Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Materials Manager, with minimum of 10 years experience, to lead our materials procurement, inventory control, and supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end management of materials planning, purchasing, and logistics to ensure seamless manufacturing and production processes. Your expertise will drive efficiency, optimize inventory levels, and foster strong supplier relationships, all while leveraging advanced ERP systems to support strategic decision-making. Duties

Lead and coordinate procurement activities using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to ensure timely sourcing of materials aligned with production schedules.
Develop and execute demand planning strategies by analyzing production forecasts, inventory levels, and market trends to meet manufacturing needs efficiently.
Manage supplier relationships through rigorous supplier management practices, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee inventory management processes including inventory control, warehouse operations, and logistics to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align materials management with lean manufacturing principles and production planning requirements.
Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to enhance overall supply chain agility.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards across all sourcing activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in materials management within a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics.
Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) modules for effective planning and execution.
Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes, including purchasing negotiations and supplier management strategies.
Familiarity with inventory management techniques like demand planning, inventory control, lean manufacturing practices, and logistics coordination.
Strong background in contracts management, warehouse operations, logistics, and warehouse experience is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from ERP systems to inform strategic decisions.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and supplier teams.
