The Role
We’re hiring a Lead Installer who can confidently install high-end stone countertops from start to finish. You’ll be the point person on-site, ensuring each job is executed safely and precisely.
- Installation: Safely transport and set slabs; level and shim; seam and finish on-site; attach sinks, install supports/rodding as needed; final clean and customer walk-through.
- Quality & Safety: Enforce QA checklists, protect customer property, maintain a clean site and shop.
- Leadership: Lead a small crew, train apprentices, coordinate with GC/homeowner/designers, and close out jobs with photos and documentation.
- Logistics: Load/unload, route planning, material inspection, tool maintenance, and basic shop organization.
What It Takes (Requirements)
- 2+ years of professional craftsmenship experience in stone countertop installation (soapstone, granite, quartz, marble) or other similar crafts
- Mastery of craft: seams, miters, edge profiles, polishing, sink installs (undermount/farm/apron), rodding, and on-site problem solving.
- Blueprint/Shop Drawing literacy and ability to create/interpret field templates.
- Physical capability to lift 250+ lbs frequently and maneuver heavy slabs safely with a team and material handling equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR; comfortable driving box truck/van.
- Customer-facing professionalism: on-time, tidy, respectful, and proactive communication.
- Work authorization in the U.S.
Tools & Materials You Know
Bridge saws, polishers, wet/dry grinders, track saws, routers, seam setters/vacuum cups, lifting clamps, A-frames, dollies, levels/lasers, epoxies (Tenax/Integra), stone sealers, color kits, and PPE.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed for project timelines.
- Overtime available based on workload.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
