Position Summary
The Programs Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of MCVP's Direct Services and Prevention Education programs. This position supervises direct service and prevention staff, ensures consistent and quality service delivery, and steps in to provide direct support and services as needed. The Programs Manager helps ensure that all programming reflects MCVP's mission, values, and commitment to survivor empowerment, and reports to the Director.
Essential Functions
Program Oversight
- Oversee the daily operations of the Direct Services and Prevention Education programs, including crisis intervention, advocacy, and prevention education activities.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of program service delivery and recommend improvements as needed.
- Ensure program activities are carried out in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable funder and program standards.
- Support data tracking and recordkeeping for direct services and prevention education, and assist with related statistics and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of grant and program reports as requested by the Director.
- Manage program expense reports and reporting.
- Maintain effective working relationships with community partners, schools, law enforcement, and other service providers.
- Help coordinate trainings for staff, volunteers, and community partners.
Supervision
- Supervise direct service and prevention education staff, including regular supervision meetings and annual performance evaluations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day support to staff and volunteers.
- Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of program staff.
- Serve as a point of contact for staff questions and support related to program operations.
Direct Service and Prevention Education Support
- Provide direct client services and crisis intervention coverage as needed, including backup for evenings, weekends, or the crisis line.
- Step in to support prevention education activities and community presentations when needed.
- Assist with the general upkeep and functioning of program space as needed.
Other
- Attend relevant, coalition, and community meetings as assigned.
- Support agency special projects as assigned by the Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in MCVP daytime coverage by responding to walk-ins, hotline calls, and scheduled appointments, while maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with organizational and legal standards.
- Serve as a liaison with DCYF and the Monadnock Region Child Advocacy Center to strengthen community response through enhanced communication, coordination, and shared accountability for survivor and child safety.
- Work closely with DCYF staff to identify and respond to cases involving both domestic violence and child abuse, providing consultation, education, and advocacy that strengthen trauma-informed and survivor-centered practice within DCYF and partner agencies.
- Engage in supervision, reflection, and collaboration with colleagues across programs to strengthen advocacy practice, ensure consistency in DCYF work, and support high-quality, survivor-centered care.
- Contribute to community outreach and public education efforts that promote safety, equity, and understanding of family violence while raising awareness of available support and resources.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
Experience: At least five years of experience in domestic and sexual violence advocacy, prevention education, or a related field, including supervisory or program coordination experience.
Skills & Knowledge: Strong organizational and communication skills; sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities; working knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma-informed practice, and the Empowerment Model; comfort with basic data tracking and reporting.

Other Requirements: Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and required minimum vehicle insurance coverage. Successful completion of a criminal background check. Completion of required advocacy training prior to providing direct services.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage sensitive and confidential information, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Some evening, weekend, or on-call availability is required to support crisis coverage and program needs. Reasonable accommodations will be made in accordance with applicable law.

Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience.
