Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions, with a focus on women's health, reproductive care, and vascular diagnostics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.

Position: Ultrasound Technologist
Shift: Night (5x8 Hours) 6:30p-2am
Contract Duration: 13-weeks (possible extension)
Location: Keene, NH 03431
Start Date: 07/20/2026
Travel Pay Rate: $2850/wk. (40hrs.)

Responsibilities

Operate ultrasound equipment to produce clear, accurate images for diagnostic purposes across various specialties including obstetrics, gynecology, vascular studies, and general radiology.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and maintaining proper aseptic technique.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to determine appropriate imaging protocols based on clinical indications.
Maintain detailed records of procedures performed using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for easy retrieval and review.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards during all imaging procedures.
Assist in the interpretation of images by applying knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Maintain calibration and proper functioning of ultrasound equipment through routine checks and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Certification or licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS or equivalent preferred).
Proven experience in medical imaging with proficiency in obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and general sonography.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
Familiarity with operating medical imaging equipment and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
Understanding of women's health and reproductive patient care standards.
Ability to perform vascular technology diagnostics with precision.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments during procedures.
