Job Type: Part-time (20-25 hours, 4 days a week, weekends required)
Shift: TBD. Must be flexible and required to work weekends and holidays. Shift usually starts 5:30a.m. or 6:00a.m.
Summary: The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing a full hot breakfast buffet and providing exceptional guest service and 100% satisfaction through pleasant and professional guest interactions, as well as demonstrate good judgment and common sense. Other assigned areas by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares breakfast by cooking frozen items in a commercial oven, making coffee, stocking baked goods and staging the serving areas according to brand standards.
- Greeting guests in a pleasant and hospitable manner and ongoing engagement during breakfast.
- Check station prior to opening for cleanliness of work area.
- Clean and reset tables and chairs.
- Control food waste, loss and usage.
- Assist in correcting food cost problems.
- Clean/organize the kitchen, refrigerator, and freezer.
- Clean and maintain breakfast equipment and items including dishware, pans, utensils, coffee pots, etc.
- Wash tables/area and walls including appliances and equipment.
- Wiping up spills, removing trash.
- Prepares and replenishes bagged breakfasts.
- Monitors guests' satisfaction of the breakfast, and informs Manager of special feedback made by guests.
- Handles any complaints in a friendly and professional manner.
- Conducts inventory of all food and service items in order to maintain proper serving levels.
- Breaks down the serving line: i.e. discards food, refrigerates items as necessary, washes warming trays, coffee pots, counters, etc.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Must be able to tolerate cleaning and other chemicals daily.
- May be exposed to allergens such as peanuts, etc.
- Requires Oregon Food Handler Card.
