Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Nursing to lead our healthcare team with passion, expertise, and strategic insight. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while fostering a collaborative and compliant environment. Your leadership will drive organizational excellence, elevate clinical standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance nursing services, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Manage the nursing department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Oversee staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluations to cultivate a high-performing nursing team.
Ensure compliance with all state-specific education laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation requirements.
Provide leadership in clinical decision-making, quality assurance initiatives, and patient safety protocols.
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop policies that promote organizational growth and operational efficiency.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional development, teamwork, and innovation in patient care delivery.
Lead efforts in staff development by organizing educational programs and mentorship opportunities for nursing personnel.
Monitor organizational metrics related to patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and operational effectiveness to inform continuous improvement strategies.

Skills

Proven expertise in strategic planning and organizational management within healthcare or educational settings.
Strong budgeting skills with experience managing financial resources effectively in complex environments.
Deep understanding of state-specific education laws applicable to healthcare training programs or nursing education.
Exceptional management skills with a track record of leading diverse teams and managing personnel in educational or healthcare institutions.
Demonstrated ability in academic leadership, instructional oversight, and curriculum development related to nursing or health sciences.
Extensive experience in school or healthcare administration with a focus on compliance, policy development, and operational oversight.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and community partners.
Leadership qualities that inspire teams, foster innovation, and drive organizational success in fast-paced environments.
Combined 2 years of experience providing pediatric care
Managing RNs, LPNs, and CNAs and Therapist Teams as needed
Meeting with staff & therapists to discuss patient cases
Increasing or decreasing staffing levels as needed
Conducting meetings and reviewing patient care reports with Medical Director
Meeting once a week with Executive Team to review overall clinic operations
Conduct and execute weekly staff conferences to go over work performance and specific patient cases
Ensure compliance with state regulations
Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care
Initiates plans of care and makes necessary revisions

Required Skills

Current RN license in the state of Florida
Associate degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Must be dedicated to customer service
Must have computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as ability to learn to navigate the practice management and EHR software
Background in healthcare management
AHCA state and federal regulation knowledge preferred but not required

Required Experience

Combined 2 years of experience providing pediatric care
Strong leadership experience required
Experience working with Acentra Health Solutions to obtain Prior Authorization preferred, but not required
Strong English (both spoken and written) skills- particularly for patient notes and charting
