We are seeking a skilled Custom Woodshop Joiner to fabricate, fit, and assemble custom cabinetry and furniture components. This role is hands-on and detail-driven, requiring the ability to work from drawings while also thinking critically through custom solutions and build techniques.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble custom cabinets and furniture from raw materials
- Execute precise joinery including mortise & tenon, dados, rabbets, dowels, and pocket joinery
- Read and interpret custom shop drawings and cut lists
- Mill lumber and sheet goods to exact specifications
- Dry-fit and final-assemble components to ensure accuracy and quality
- Operate woodworking machinery (table saw, jointer, planer, router table, sanders, etc.)
- Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, fit, and finish
- Follow shop safety procedures and keep an organized workspace
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in custom cabinetry or furniture making
- Strong understanding of joinery, materials, and wood movement
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve custom details
- Excellent measuring, layout, and shop math skills
- High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with high-end or architectural cabinetry
- Familiarity with veneers, edge banding, or curved components
- CNC or CAD/CAM exposure
- Mentoring or leadership experience
