Job Title: Group Facilitator - Case Manager - Admissions
Facility: LIV Recovery Center
Location: Alpharetta, Georgia
Position Type: Full Time
Reports To: Program Manager

Position Summary:

LIV Recovery is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dynamic individual who is capable of leading process groups - performing BPS Assessments - supporting admissions and various other case management duties. We are a fast paced, passionate Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role is essential in fostering a supportive, engaging, and clinically sound group environment that promotes recovery, self-awareness, and emotional healing.

PREVIOUS GROUP FACILITATING EXPERIENCE FOR SUBSTANCE USE & MENTAL HEALTH IS A MUST.

This position will also be a supporting position to various areas of our growing facility, including case management, admissions and discharge coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate structured group sessions including but not limited to:
Substance use education
Mental health awareness
Relapse prevention
Coping skills and emotional regulation
Trauma-informed care topics
Mindfulness and self-care practices
Utilize evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, MI, and Seeking Safety in group facilitation.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful group environment that supports diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Collaborate with the treatment team to support clients’ individual treatment goals and clinical progress.
Complete accurate and timely documentation of group attendance, participation, and progress notes in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
Attend staff meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as required.
Uphold ethical boundaries and professional standards at all times.
Maintain current knowledge of best practices in behavioral health, addiction treatment, and group facilitation.

Qualifications:

MUST POSSESS A LICENSURE OR A CADC OR CAC CERTIFICATION TO BE CONSIDERED

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required.
Experience working with individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
1+ years of experience facilitating therapeutic or psychoeducational groups preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and group management skills.
Detail oriented
Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-pressure and crisis situations.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and ethical treatment practices.

Working Conditions:

This position may include evenings and/or weekends depending on program needs.
You will be required to run between 4 - 5 groups per week.
Group sizes typically range from 6–12 participants.
Work is performed in a clinical outpatient setting with support from a multidisciplinary team.
Other supporting roles will be as needed with a variety of trainings and experiences to give you an opportunity to learn and become skilled in a number of areas of treatment facility work.

Qualifications

Previous group facilitating experience is a must
Must have a minimum of CADC, CAC or similar credentials

Experienced in modern technology and able to navigate EMR's, Google Drives, Docs & Sheets & other office oriented technology platforms
