Full Job Description

Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Learning & Development Specialist to design, implement, and manage learning programs that support employee growth, leadership development, and organizational success. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building engaging training experiences, improving employee performance, and creating a culture of continuous learning.

The Learning & Development Specialist will partner with leaders across multiple departments to identify training needs, develop impactful learning solutions, facilitate training sessions, and measure the effectiveness of development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Training & Development

Design, develop, and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training programs.
Create engaging onboarding programs for new employees.
Develop learning materials including presentations, job aids, videos, guides, and e-learning modules.
Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, surveys, and performance metrics.
Continuously update training content to reflect process improvements and organizational changes.

Employee Development

Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
Build individual development plans and career growth resources for employees.
Coordinate leadership development initiatives for supervisors and managers.
Support succession planning through targeted development programs.

Performance Support

Assist managers in improving employee performance through coaching resources and learning strategies.
Recommend training solutions that address performance challenges.
Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Learning Management

Maintain learning records and monitor training completion.
Track compliance training requirements.
Generate reports on participation, completion rates, and learning outcomes.
Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) or other learning platforms.

Organizational Development

Support employee engagement initiatives.
Assist with change management communications and training.
Participate in HR projects related to culture, leadership, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications
Required

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Organizational Development, or Human Resources.
Experience designing and facilitating professional training programs.
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Preferred

Experience in healthcare, medical practices, or multi-site organizations.
Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS).
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
Experience creating e-learning content using platforms such as Articulate 360, Rise, Canva, Camtasia, or similar tools.
SHRM-CP, PHR, ATD, CPTD, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
