Full Job Description

Hillside Custom Machining and Fabrication is an innovative and growing machine shop seeking CNC Lathe Operators.

CNC Lathe Machine Operators are responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines.

Areas of responsibility for our CNC Machine Operators:

Ability to load and unload machine with first piece checks and required documentation
Control and adjust machine settings.
Perform material handling or other miscellaneous operations.
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Operate portable powered type grinders to rough grind burrs, scale, rough edges or welds on a variety of types and sizes of parts.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED preferred with technical training
In lieu of formal training, equivalent machining experience required
Demonstrated basic knowledge required to operate the CNC equipment, including basic G-code knowledge.
Experience operating material handling equipment (jib and overhead cranes) with proper use of lifting techniques
Accurate layout and measuring experience preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
