Full Job Description

Civil Engineer-in-Training NOTE: This position is currently NOT available

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, have certification (or in process of attaining) as an Engineer-In-Training in Washington State (or eligible for reciprocity), and have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university

Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification, or in the process of attaining

Two to five years of engineering or equivalent experience

Experience with AutoCAD is required

Experience with Civil 3D (preferred)

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Understanding of surveying and engineering principals

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills

A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goal

Responsibilities

The candidate will be able to collaborate with the engineering team and support projects through phases of planning, design and drafting in one or more of the following areas:

Prepare drafts for plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, specifications, and cost estimates for projects using company and area standards

Prepare record drawings

Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub consultant coordination

Work with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects

Conduct field visits

Identify project specific design requirements using applicable codes

Search for and compile design and reference information from various sources
