Location: Kenosha, WI 53140
Job Type: Full-Time Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:40 AM–4:01 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Contract End Date: June 4, 2027
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: Up to $2,100/week

Job Overview

We are hiring a School Social Worker to provide social services and student support in a middle school setting in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

This position is ideal for a licensed School Social Worker, MSW, social services professional, case manager, or behavioral health professional with experience supporting children and adolescents in an educational or community-based environment.

The School Social Worker will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with Case Managers, teachers, educators, and other student support professionals to help students achieve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.

Responsibilities

Provide school social work and social services to assigned students.
Support students with emotional, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Provide case management and student support services as appropriate.
Collaborate with Case Managers, teachers, special education professionals, and other members of the student support team.
Participate in student support meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Assist with behavioral and social-emotional interventions.
Help identify student needs and connect students with appropriate support services.
Maintain accurate case notes, service documentation, and student records.
Support individualized student plans and monitor student progress.
Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and other professionals.
Maintain confidentiality and follow applicable school and professional requirements.

Student Population & Setting

Middle school environment
Self-contained EBD (Emotional Behavioral Disability) classroom
Approximately 10–12 students
No cross-categorical student caseload
Collaborative, team-based environment

Required Qualifications

Wisconsin DPI School Social Work License required
MSW / Master of Social Work preferred
Experience in school social work, social services, case management, behavioral health, human services, or a related field preferred
Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with students with emotional and behavioral needs
