Full Job Description

Function

Under the direct supervision of the Director and the general supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the Residential Supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of the sites of his/her assigned caseload in IO Wavier and Intermitted Care Facilities. Must ensure compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and Agency standards, policies, and laws.

Hours

Works flexible hours including evenings, every other weekend, and holidays as needed or required. Required to be on call via agency cell phone during working hours, and occasionally after hours.

Duties

55% Supervises and directs the Direct Support Professionals in IO Waiver setting and Intermitted Care Facilities. Participates in the selection and hiring of new employees. Trains support staff in all phases of their responsibilities, prepares and conducts employee performance evaluations and administers employee disciplinary actions. Prepares staff schedules, approves time sheets and reimbursement forms for payment, and conducts staff meetings.

35% Supervises and directs the implementation of consumers’ Individual Service Plan. Serves as a member of the consumer support group and in that capacity communicates medical conditions, behavioral issues, progress and problems to appropriate staff. When indicated, monitors the development and coordination of consumers’ medical appointments, recreational and community integration events. Monitors financial accounts as maintained by direct care staff. Provides guidance to consumers regarding financial matters.

5% Assist the consumers in obtaining and maintaining housing and benefits (e.g..SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare, IO Waiver, and ICF services).

5% Attends staff meetings, in-services, conferences, etc. Performs on call duties as scheduled. Performs other related duties.

Requirements

1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. Supervisory experience preferred.
3. One year experience with DD population preferred.
4. Good oral and written communication skills.
5. Knowledge of computers preferred.
6. May be required to perform lifting and related tasks e.g. client transfers, restraints.
7. Must have and maintain a telephone at residence, with published number.
8. Must obtain a two step TB test or equivalent within 30 days of hire.
9. Valid Ohio Driver’s License with 4 points or less.
