About the Role

As a Precision EDM Machinist, you will play a vital role in our advanced manufacturing facility by executing complex setups and operating Wire EDM equipment to create high-tolerance components. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our output meets the rigorous standards required for critical sectors like aerospace and medical technology.

Responsibilities

Execute machine setups and operate Wire EDM systems by interpreting complex engineering blueprints and GD&T requirements.
Ensure high-quality production by monitoring machining processes and performing precise in-process inspections.
Proactively troubleshoot technical challenges to maintain optimal production flow and minimize downtime.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment to guarantee long-term reliability and accuracy.
Maintain meticulous records of production data and inspection results to ensure full traceability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine manufacturing processes and improve overall shop efficiency.
Uphold a high standard of workplace organization and safety by actively participating in 5S initiatives.

Required Skills

Proven experience in setting up and operating Wire EDM machinery.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and applying GD&T standards.
Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely with industrial fluids.
Must meet U.S. person requirements for export-controlled manufacturing.

Preferred Skills

Background in highly regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing.
Familiarity with quality management systems like AS9100 or ISO 9001.
Technical certification or formal apprenticeship in precision machining.
Experience operating additional CNC or conventional machining equipment.
