Job Title PDM/PLM Specialist

Location Tukwila, WA

Job Site Onsite

Pay Rate Range $35.00 – $40.00/hr

Employment Type: Contract to hire or direct hire

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a PDM Specialist for an engineering and manufacturing client. This would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in product data management, ERP systems, and CAD documentation looking to further their career in engineering operations. If you are someone with strong ERP experience and interested in learning PDM/PLM, please apply!

Manage and maintain the Engineering Vault, ensuring files are properly organized, current, and accessible.
Prepare, upload, and update engineering data—including drawings and models—within the ERP system with accuracy and consistency.
Maintain the drawing pool and QMS controlled documents, ensuring correct versions are available and current.
Create, revise, and analyze part numbers and Bills of Materials for engineering drawings and ERP/MRP systems.
Develop detailed 3D models and 2D production drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD/DraftSight) from specifications, sketches, and customer layout drawings.
Train team members on the use of controlled documents, ERP data, and PDM systems.
Ensure complete and accurate documentation of component specifications, tolerances, requirements, and manufacturing methods.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Proficiency with PDM software; SolidWorks PDM Professional strongly preferred.
Ability to read, interpret, and translate technical drawings and engineering specifications.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering documentation standards.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple documentation streams simultaneously.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate across departments and build working relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

Hands-on CAD drafting or modeling experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or DraftSight).
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and BOM management.
Background in a regulated or quality-managed manufacturing environment.
