Hearing Instrument Specialist

We're looking for a motivated, compassionate Hearing Instrument Specialist who enjoys helping patients improve their quality of life while working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

What You'll Do

As a Hearing Instrument Specialist, you will:

Conduct hearing screenings and hearing evaluations within your scope of practice.
Counsel patients on hearing loss and available treatment options.
Recommend, fit, program, and adjust hearing aids using best-practice protocols.
Perform hearing aid follow-up appointments, cleanings, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Educate patients and their families on hearing aid use, care, and realistic expectations.
Build long-term patient relationships through exceptional customer service and follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Collaborate with Audiologists, Physicians, and support staff to provide seamless patient care.
Participate in community outreach and practice growth initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Current Washington State Hearing Instrument Specialist license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous hearing aid dispensing experience.
Experience with modern hearing aid programming software.
Experience with real-ear verification and best practice fitting protocols.
Sales and relationship-building experience in a healthcare setting.
