Full Job Description

We are seeking skilled Fitter/Welders who possess or are ready to obtain WABO certification in FCAW to join our structural steel team. You will be responsible for fitting and welding components with high precision, ensuring every piece meets our rigorous quality and safety benchmarks. This position is offered on a contract-to-hire basis.

Pay and Hours: Compensation ranges from $30 to $38 per hour, depending on experience. Shifts are available Monday through Thursday, either from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm or 4:30 pm to 3:00 am, with additional overtime as required.

Work Site: Orting, WA

Core Duties:

Execute the measurement, cutting, and assembly of structural steel components according to technical drawings.
Utilize FCAW techniques to produce welds that satisfy both industry and WABO requirements.
Analyze blueprints and production orders to ensure high-accuracy fabrication.
Verify weld integrity to help maintain a safe and compliant working environment for the entire team.
Utilize cutting and welding equipment in a secure and efficient manner.
Adhere to all OSHA regulations and internal safety procedures to support a secure workplace.
Work effectively with colleagues to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
Perform routine maintenance on all welding machinery.

Qualifications:

Candidates with WABO FCAW certification are preferred; however, we provide the opportunity to earn this certification during the onboarding process.
At least two years of background in structural steel fitting and welding is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting complex blueprints.
Strong technical aptitude and welding capabilities.
Physical capability to handle heavy materials and perform tasks in diverse working positions.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
