Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Elementary Math Interventionist to help students bridge gaps in their mathematical understanding and build lasting numerical confidence. In this specialized role, you will analyze data and work with teachers to identify students who need targeted support. You will design and deliver small-group interventions that make abstract ideas concrete and approachable. By creating an encouraging environment, you will help young learners overcome math anxiety, develop problem-solving strategies, and cultivate a growth mindset. JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Teacher

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

As set by state certification standards or licensure requirements, at a minimum a Bachelor degree
Pass health examination
Have no immoral or criminal history
Have ability to work with other staff members, the community, parents and children

DUTIES:

To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth and maturation
Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum initiatives and subject matter
Design instruction that addresses multiple abilities of performance
Implement effective teaching techniques
Use varied resources for learning activities
Teach to KERA learning goals, KDE academic expectations and district courses of study
Promote high expectations for students
Create a learning climate that supports academic expectations
Establish and maintain standards of classroom behavior
Evaluate student progress on regular basis and communicate evaluation to students and parents
Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with students
Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with educational staff
Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with parents/guardians
Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
Communicate challenging expectations for all students
Work cooperatively with colleagues, support staff, and administration
Participate in professional activities and professional organizations
Follow the policies and procedures of the school district
Assume responsibilities outside the classroom as related to the school
Other duties as assigned by the Principal/Superintendent
