Heavy Duty Diesel Technician

Kleyn Mobile Repair (Jenison, MI)

$60,000 - $110,000/Year (Based on Experience and Skills)

Monday - Friday 7-5 No nights, No weekends

The Shop Setup

10 bays plus a dedicated HD alignment bay
Clean, heated facility with newer equipment that’s constantly being updated
Fullbay shop management system
You’ll be joining a crew that includes in-house techs, road techs, and apprentices (mentorship is part of the deal here)

Pay And Benefits

$60,000–$110,000+ per year depending on experience
Hourly pay with performance bonuses, no flat rate

Training And Growth

Kleyn puts real support behind training, not just lip service.

There are clear paths for advancement as you develop your skills and take on greater responsibility We promote building leadership capabilities through ongoing coaching and leadership development. There are vendor classes, training programs, certification reimbursement, and a clear push to keep leveling up. There’s even an incentive for completing training hours each quarter.

Start with a structured onboarding experience that includes software training and cross-department shadowing
Receive 3–5 days of initial training, followed by an ongoing learning and development period
Complete 3.5 hours of training each month to continue building your technical and professional skills (required)
Earn an additional $2/hour added to your base pay when monthly training requirements are completed
Opportunities to attend industry events such as Vision, SEMA, and local conferences

What You’ll Be Doing

Heavy-duty equipment service and repairs
Diesel engine testing, troubleshooting, and repair, including engine rebuild work
Alignment work in the HD alignment bay
Supporting mobile techs when needed (and occasionally helping with customer-facing questions when more info is needed)

Who Will Do Well Here

Strong heavy-duty diesel experience with solid testing and troubleshooting ability
On-time, team-minded, customer-service focused
Proud of the work, willing to keep learning, and not interested in shop drama
Certified is preferred, or motivated to get there (the shop supports growth)

Qualifications

Michigan state certification required
Must have a basic personal tool set
Strong commitment to service excellence, quality workmanship, honesty, dedication, and teamwork
Demonstrates GWC: Gets It, Wants It, and has the Capacity to Do It
Able to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service
Motivated to meet or exceed an 80% production goal
Dependable, accountable, and committed to consistently delivering high-quality work
