Overview
Join Experience Alaska Tours for an unforgettable seasonal opportunity at the historic George Inlet Lodge, located just 15 miles south of Ketchikan in the beauty of Alaska’s Tongass National Forest. As a Seasonal Lodge Adventure Crew Member, you’ll support multiple areas of the guest experience, including kitchen operations, dining service, logistics, and lodge support. This role is ideal for an energetic, flexible team player who loves food, hospitality, storytelling, adventure, and creating memorable experiences for guests from around the world.
What You’ll Do
· Prepare and cook menu items with consistency, quality, and attention to presentation.
· Follow established recipes, plating standards, and food safety procedures.
· Assist with ingredient preparation, meal assembly, and high-volume food production during peak service times.
· Serve guests during the famous all-you-can-eat Dungeness Crab Feast and help create a fun, welcoming dining atmosphere.
· Entertain guests with lodge skits, Alaskan stories, local knowledge, and friendly conversation.
· Greet guests warmly, provide attentive table service, answer questions, and address concerns professionally.
· Bus, reset, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area and shared guest spaces.
· Support guest arrivals and departures, seating, ticket handling, daily counts, transactions, and operational logistics.
· Coordinate with cruise lines, bus companies, tour staff, kitchen staff, and other team members to keep daily operations running smoothly.
· Pitch in wherever needed throughout the lodge, including kitchen support, guest service, and general operational duties.
What We’re Looking For
· Age 18+
· Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
· Legal ability to serve alcohol; TAPS Certification will be provided if you currently do not hold a TAPS Card.
· Alaska Food Handlers Certification, or ability to obtain it online and submit before arrival.
· Previous restaurant, kitchen, guest service, hospitality, or tour experience preferred.
· Strong teamwork, time management, communication, and guest relations skills.
· Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-energy seasonal environment with changing daily needs.
· Willingness to cross-train, take on different responsibilities, and support the team wherever needed.
· Stamina for active shifts and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
· Dependable, safety-minded, upbeat, and excited to live, work, and play in a unique Alaskan setting.
