Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking pizzas and other items to specification, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Your culinary skills and attention to safety standards will ensure every meal served meets our high-quality expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise while contributing to a vibrant food service environment that values teamwork and innovation.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
Cook food items with precision, ensuring proper temperature, presentation, and quality standards are met
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, fryers, and food processors
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist with menu planning and portion control to optimize food quality and minimize waste
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to safety and hygiene standards
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food industry settings
Strong knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling techniques
Excellent knife skills with slicing techniques that ensure efficiency and safety
Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency across dishes
Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus for understanding special dietary needs
Effective communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and ensuring smooth operations
Knowledge of food safety management practices to uphold hygiene standards at all times
Catering experience is advantageous for handling large-scale meal preparations
Enthusiasm for serving others through high-quality meal presentation and preparation
