Position Overview:
The Clinical Counselor at Harmony Women's Recovery provides compassionate, evidence-based counseling services to women navigating early sobriety. This position focuses on delivering individual and group therapy, utilizing a client-centered approach to address substance use and co-occurring challenges. The Clinical Counselor supports clients in achieving long-term recovery through structured treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

Individual Counseling:
Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients based on their individualized treatment plans.
Utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and 12-step facilitation.
Assist clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms and relapse prevention strategies.
Group Therapy:
Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on addiction education, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and peer support.
Encourage active participation and create a safe, supportive group environment.
Use holistic methodologies, including mindfulness and other experiential practices, to enhance group sessions.
Treatment Planning and Progress Monitoring:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
Conduct regular assessments to evaluate client progress and adjust treatment goals as needed.
Document sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Client Advocacy and Support:
Connect clients with community resources to address needs such as housing, employment, and legal assistance.
Collaborate with other professionals, including case managers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care.
Actively support clients in meeting treatment milestones and achieving sobriety goals.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of all clinical services.
Adhere to all licensing and accreditation standards, including client confidentiality requirements.
Participate in audits and contribute to quality assurance efforts.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to clients.
Attend team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Contribute to program development by sharing insights and feedback.

Qualifications:

Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) or greater.
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services in a substance use treatment setting.
Strong understanding of addiction recovery principles, including the 12-step model.
Experience with co-occurring mental health disorders preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

12 Step Experience
Familiarity with holistic and experiential approaches, such as mindfulness, art therapy, or trauma-informed care.

Work Environment:

Flexible schedule, which may include evenings or weekends.
Primarily office-based with occasional community outreach or off-site activities.
