Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. This role is at the heart of our food operation, responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining strict safety standards, and inspiring a team of culinary professionals. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative culinary expertise, strong leadership skills, and comprehensive knowledge of food service management to deliver memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced environment. Duties

Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, fostering a positive, productive work environment focused on teamwork and excellence
Oversee menu planning, ensuring a diverse selection that meets quality standards and customer preferences while controlling costs
Manage food production processes, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and high standards
Implement and monitor food safety sanitizing procedures to comply with health regulations and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment
Control inventory levels through effective inventory management and inventory control practices to minimize waste and optimize resources
Coordinate catering and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes for events of varying sizes
Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth operations during all service hours
Maintain compliance with food handling regulations and ensure all team members adhere to proper food safety protocols
Monitor food service operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall guest satisfaction
Collaborate with management on budget control, cost management strategies, and menu pricing

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in all aspects of food service
Proven supervising experience leading kitchen teams in fast-paced settings
Solid knowledge of food industry standards including food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling, and hygiene practices
Expertise in menu planning, food production, and kitchen management techniques
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate staff and manage conflicts effectively
Experience in inventory management, inventory control, and cost control strategies
Familiarity with banquet experience and catering operations from setup to execution
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently during shift management periods
Knowledge of dietary department requirements for specialized menus or dietary accommodations
Demonstrated hospitality skills with a focus on serving excellence and customer satisfaction
Competence in managing food service operations from restaurant experience or similar environments
