Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized accounting professional to support accounts payable operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring timely, accurate processing of invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

Process invoices, verify approvals, and ensure accurate coding to the appropriate accounts and departments.
Prepare and execute vendor payments in accordance with company policies and payment schedules.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and supporting documentation.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and issue resolution.
Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting support.
Review purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
Support audit requests by providing documentation and account details as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and strengthen controls.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
Prior experience in accounts payable, accounting, or bookkeeping preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Experience with accounting or ERP systems preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly
