Outside Sales Representative

Location: Longview, TX (Preferred) Job Type: Full-Time

Company Description

ScanTech designs and manufactures robotic nondestructive testing equipment and software for demanding industrial inspection applications. Our systems are built for dependable field performance, reliable data, and real-world inspection challenges.

We design and manufacture our scanners, electronics, and proprietary Analyst™ software in-house, allowing us to provide complete inspection solutions backed by hands-on training and technical support.

Position Summary

ScanTech is seeking a full-time Sales Representative to develop new business, strengthen customer relationships, and help grow sales of our robotic NDT scanners, software, and related equipment.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the NDT industry and can confidently communicate technical solutions to customers across a wide range of industrial applications. The right candidate will be proactive, relationship-driven, and comfortable managing the complete sales process, from initial outreach through closing and follow-up.

This is an on-site position based in Longview, Texas, with periodic travel for customer meetings, demonstrations, trade shows, and industry events.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the NDT and industrial inspection markets
Build relationships with NDT service companies, technicians, engineers, asset owners, distributors, and industry partners
Manage leads from initial outreach through discovery, demonstration, quotation, follow-up, and close
Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry networking
Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and help determine product fit, application requirements, budget, and timing
Coordinate product demonstrations and technical discussions with internal subject-matter experts
Maintain accurate sales activity, contact information, deal stages, next steps, and pipeline information in HubSpot
Meet established outreach, follow-up, meeting, opportunity, and pipeline-development goals
Prepare quotes and sales materials in coordination with internal teams
Attend customer meetings, demonstrations, trade shows, and industry events as needed
Share customer feedback and market insights with marketing, engineering, and company leadership

Qualifications

Previous NDT industry experience required
Familiarity with Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) required
Previous B2B, technical, industrial, equipment, or solution-based sales experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and relationship-building skills
Ability to learn technical products and explain their value clearly
Comfortable with outbound prospecting and managing a sales pipeline
Experience using HubSpot or another CRM platform
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and accountable for meeting established sales expectations
Ability to travel for customer visits, demonstrations, and industry events
Preferred to be based in Texas. This role does not require living in Longview; however, travel to our Longview headquarters is expected approximately 10–20% of the time for meetings, training, and customer activities.

Preferred Experience

Experience selling NDT equipment, industrial inspection technology, automation, robotics, or capital equipment
Existing relationships within the NDT or industrial inspection market
Understanding of ultrasonic testing, corrosion mapping, weld inspection, or radiographic inspection
Experience working with distributors, international customers, or technical representatives
Hands-on experience with HubSpot Sales Hub, reports, dashboards, tasks, sequences, or sales goals
