Paint Shop Manager

Ecopool · Salado, Texas · Full-time

Run the coating cell at the world's first steel pool manufacturing plant in Texas.

Ecopool builds swimming pools the way the auto industry builds cars — in a factory, from structural steel, finished with industrial polyurea coatings. The paint cell is one of the most important stations in the plant. We need someone to run it.

This is a lead role on a manager track. You'll start hands-on at the gun, learn our products and process from the inside, and grow into full responsibility for hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of painters and blasters as we ramp.

The work

Operate our Graco high-tech, digitally connected polyurea spray system
Media blasting and surface prep — brushing, high-pressure wash, masking, sealing, wipe-down, precise component mixing
Apply polyurea coatings to the structural steel modules that become finished pools
Keep the cell, the rig, and the supporting equipment dialed in, clean, and running
Build and lead the team — hiring, training, and holding the quality bar

The 90-day path

Days 1–30. Learn our products, our process, and our Graco system inside and out. Spend most days at the gun.
Days 30–60. Take ownership of the cell — schedule, quality, throughput, equipment uptime.
Day 90. Begin hiring, training, and managing the crew underneath you. Step fully into the manager role.

You'll build a coatings operation from the ground up

You probably are

An experienced industrial painter, bedliner applicator, auto body painter, aerospace coatings tech, or marine/shipyard coatings tech
Comfortable with media blasting and surface prep as much as with the spray gun
Either already trained on polyurea or eager to learn fast — Graco experience is a strong plus
Capable of running a small crew now, or clearly ready to grow into it
Bonus: you can operate a telehandler
